Since it was the Labor Day weekend, I tried in vain to reach several local plumbers. They either did not answer the phone or were unavailable until a later ... date. I contacted Roto-Rooter and they sent someone out the same day. This made my weekend.

Roto rooter had to show up 3 times to find the root of my problem which was sludge clogging my sewage line as it connected to the main line in ... the street. The first two times the regular rooter system seemed to work but the problem reappeared, first after 1 week and then 2 days after the second visit. The third time the rooter seemed to clear out the clogged line (the technician rooted about 100 feet down the line but found no evidence of clogging) and the system backed up immediately. The technician called for a camera examination and discovered the sludge which required the high pressure water system. Perhaps on a recall, a camera examination should be a standard procedure.

I called Roto Rooter for a badly clogged toilet. The plumber arrived in less than two hours. I received several calls from the office advising me of the plumbers arrival ... time. Elvin, the Roto Rooter plumber, was courteous, knowledgeable and thorough. Elvin explained what he would be doing before hand, solved our problem and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards.
