Pontiac's Go-To Plumbing Company for Every Drain, Pipe, and Leak
Roto-Rooter is the trusted plumbing company serving homeowners and businesses in Pontiac, MI. Pontiac's mix of clay and sandy soil can shift around foundations over time, putting stress on underground pipes and causing leaks or misaligned drain lines. Cold winters with lake-effect snow drive ground temperatures low enough to freeze exposed pipes, and many of Pontiac's older homes with basements face recurring risks of basement flooding and aging infrastructure that wears down faster under hard water conditions. Roto-Rooter's experienced plumbing technicians handle clogged drains, hidden leaks, and emergency pipe repairs. Call 248-646-1129 any time - Roto-Rooter is available 24/7, 365 days a year.

Why do Pontiac homes experience so many frozen pipe problems in winter?
Pontiac winters bring consistently low temperatures along with lake-effect snow that can keep the ground frozen for extended periods. Pipes located in uninsulated basement walls, crawl spaces, or exterior-facing areas are especially vulnerable to freezing and bursting. Roto-Rooter's experienced plumbing technicians respond promptly to frozen and burst pipe emergencies, helping Pontiac homeowners minimize water damage. Call 248-646-1129 any time for 24/7, 365 days a year assistance.
What causes basement flooding in Pontiac, MI?
Pontiac's clay-heavy soil does not drain water easily, which means heavy rain or rapid snowmelt can saturate the ground quickly and push water toward basement walls and floor drains. Aging sump pumps, cracked foundation walls, and overwhelmed drain lines are common causes of basement flooding in the area. Roto-Rooter provides water damage restoration and cleanup services to help Pontiac homeowners recover after a flooding event. Our team is available 24/7, 365 days a year - call 248-646-1129 right away if your basement takes on water.
How does hard water affect plumbing in Pontiac?
Hard water contains high levels of minerals like calcium and magnesium that build up inside pipes and water heaters over time, reducing water flow and efficiency. In Pontiac, this buildup can shorten the lifespan of water heaters and contribute to slow or clogged drains. Roto-Rooter's experienced plumbing technicians can inspect your pipes and water heater for mineral deposits and recommend the right solution. Call 248-646-1129 to schedule a visit.
Does Roto-Rooter handle drain cleaning for both homes and businesses in Pontiac?

Customer Reviews in Pontiac
We had basement flooding within the past year. We cleaned up everything but occasionally had a drain-type odor. Recently it just got worse, rising up to the main ... floor. I flushed the basement drains with water and plugged up the drain nearest the odor. The odor returned. When a daughter visited this week and complain about an odor at the front door, that was enough. I got online and scheduled a service call late Thursday night. They responded within hours with a morning appointment as requested. I emailed two phone numbers Friday morning. I got a email and phone call to confirm the appointment. Kyle arrived within the appointment window. Kyle thought it might be mold or mildew and suggested a conversation with a Roto Rooter cleanup person. I was not opposed. However, I stood in the area near the drain where the odor was sometimes the worse. Kyle listened to me and began tracking down a possible source of the odor. After removing some ceiling panels Kyle noticed a black sewer line behind my Owens Corning basements system wall. I was able to pull out the panels exposing the pipe, and behold the source of the horrible odor. A plumber had tried to snake out the main line through the pipe's trap access and failed to put the cap back in place. Thus, the odor. The threads of the cast iron pipe had rusted, but Kyle found a plastic cap that sealed the opening. My wife and daughters are quite happy - so am I. I will call and schedule a clean up of my gutter and ground water line as Kyle recommends. KH The service from Roto Rooter was stellar from start to finish. Getting such prompt service just days before Christmas was great. Solving the problem was icing on the cake. Great Job. I will be calling Roto Rooter for any future plumbing issues. Thank you Kyle.
The plumbers sent out were super friendly and informative. They were on time. They were clean as well never even knew they were here. Will definitely call them again.
Syible B.Crew was clean, courteous, and very knowledgeable. would recommend to all who ask me.
